The child has one intuitive aim: self development

John Jones

Mr. Jones grew up in Morristown, New Jersey. In 1999, he received his B.A. in Biology from Rutgers University. Upon graduation, he moved to Salem, Massachusetts where he subsequently got his first job. This job entailed facilitating an after school program (Top Secret Science) for students in elementary school.

Coincidentally, this job helped him get his first teaching position at Gloucester High School where he taught Physical Science and Marine Biology. In 2000, he took a new teaching position at the Marblehead Middle School (now known as Veteran’s Middle School) where he continued to teach for three years. During this time he got an M. Ed. in Secondary Education from Salem State University.

In 2003, he moved back to New Jersey, where he has since taught an 8th grade integrated science course at Howell Middle School South. He completed an Ed. M. program in Educational Administration at Rutgers University in 2006.

In his free time, Mr. Jones plays soccer in a variety of adult leagues, spends time outdoors (fishing, biking, hiking, etc.), and enjoys spending time with his family.
